The ability to stream live video from any iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Android device to any TV, Blu-ray player, or projector is now as easy as making a phone call, a video call, or a quick Skype call.

But what if you want to use your device to stream a movie, TV show, or other content from your phone or tablet to a set-top box or set top box-mounted set top boxes?

Now you can, thanks to a new app called Plex.

Plex for TV lets you stream your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or Android phone or iPad or Apple TV to your set top or set- top box with an HDMI cable, SD card, USB stick, or more.

The app works best with Android TV devices running Android 4.0 or higher.

Plex is also compatible with Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
